Regarding carbohydrates like rice ,bread ,potatoes ,pasta or noodles - try to avoid the white flour products .Choose whole wheat bread and its kinds and brown rice over the others.


 

Lentils are one of the best food to consume ,since it contains 55% carbohydrates ,28% protein and only 1% fat .This combination is nutritious and satiating in the same time because of the perfect combination of carbohydrates and proteins.(Just for comparison ,cooked chicken breast contains 28% protein ,the rest is water, some fat and some cholesterol)


 

Meat-It's better to eat chicken breast and lean meat, they contain less fat.


Eat plenty of green vegetables, they contain vitamins ,minerals, antioxidant and fibers that helps with digestion. And they don’t have a lot of calories.


If you have digestion problems try not to mix proteins and carbohydrates in the same meal. Eat each separately with vegetables .
Many food product contains both carbohydrates and proteins .For example ,bread is not purely carbohydrate ,it also contains some proteins. Avocado contains fibers, carbohydrates ,fat and proteins .So all food groups are already mixed for us in the right proportions by nature.
Food group separation is more on the big scale. Bread ,potatoes ,rice lentils are considered a source of carbohydrates .what is important to remember is that their main components are carbohydrates but they might contain other food groups. It is almost impossible to really separate food groups ,it's only feasible on the big scale.
Moreover , mostly when we combine some of each food group in our meal ,the outcome is much more satiating.


When eating a protein or a carbohydrate meal, eat it with plenty of vegetables. (Tomatoes are not vegetables, though you can incorporate them in your meals but don’t rely on them as your veggie).


Its better to eat fresh fruit and vegetables then to cook them .if you do cook them ,cook them slightly.
